Why are the Gallente and Amarr backwards in term of stats? It doesn't make sense when looking at EVE and the weaponry and tactics you, CCP, encourage with racial bonuses and skills.
The Amarr would be the actual Armor Tanker while the Gallente would be the hybrid tanker. I mean seriously look at the game right now.
The Gallente are CQC-mid range lovers with Assault Rifles and are arguably still very mobile despite being more armor-focused. While they are flexible, they rely on intel and counter-intel to take advantage of the situation. Formations can vary as well.
The Amarr are mid-long range lovers with their Scrambler Rifle and Pistol and this plays well with their inflexibility because they don't have to get up close to take down most enemies. And even if they have to get up close, their apparently intended wall formations are capable, or should be capable, of absorbing the damage and firing back.
And when we take into their enemy faction's gear and how they work, it also doesn't make that much sense.
Caldari have hybrid weapons but the Gallente don't dual tank. The Minmatar use explosives and projectiles yet the Amarr dual-tank.
It's quite confusing and I'm sure most of the community would love a Dev-Post about this even if it's just short and ends with a "Soon."

Amarr +Armor bonus Caldari +Shield Bonus Gallente +Armor rep bonus Minmatar +Shield rep bonus (or in this case recharge or recharge delay (or both))
Meh. I wouldn't give the Minmatar that unless it's to the point where Shields are like Armor for them, in terms of repping speed. They're hit and run and so the damage buff was perfect, imo. With 5% per level and the Combat Rifle and maybe a change to suits to allow for more high slots, the Minmatar would be pretty damn legit.

Also, they couldn't make the Gallante the ultimate CQC run and gun race, because that is the Minmatar department. So, there are a lot of issues that would need to be worked completely around to mirror each race with EVE.
Yeah. I agree. The Amarr would be combination but with the current bonuses, having the stats fixed so that the Amarr get the 210 Armor and the Gallente are 180/180, would definitely work for balance. Amarr can still stack plates but they'll be losing out on a lot if they don't put an Armor Rep and the same for Gallente. Truthfully, I might become OP with Armor Rep bonus...I can get 12.5 with two Complex right now but I could push that even further...especially with my 25 Rep suit.
